Referral service, not a contractor. SF Drain & Sewer Pros does not perform plumbing, drain, or sewer work. We may be paid if you hire a provider through a partner link. Always confirm the provider's license and get a written estimate. How this works
Hiring checklist
Before they arrive
- Ask for the company's California contractor license number and verify it at cslb.ca.gov.
- Ask how they price the job (flat rate or hourly), whether there's a trip or after-hours fee, and what's included.
On site
- Ask to see the camera footage that supports any recommended repair.
- Get a written estimate for anything beyond the basic clearing.
- Ask who pulls permits and whether sidewalk restoration is included.
Red flags
- Pressure to sign immediately for a full replacement without showing video.
- Cash-only demands or large upfront deposits. California law limits down payments on home improvement contracts, so check current CSLB guidance.
- No written contract for repair or replacement work.
